ps2cho covered it pretty much. The corner lens just has a clip you squeeze from inside to pop it out (forward). Look in there and you'll see it. Then you can access the two 8mm bolts on the outer edge of the light (and an 8mm bolt that holds the trim strip at its outer edge under the light). Remove the 8mm bolt on the inside end of the trim strip (near the radiator), then the 8mm bolt (on the pass side) or Phillips head screw (driver's side) that holds the light on the radiator support, and the lights will slide out. (My car had the Phillips screw anyway -- maybe it had been replaced at some point, though, and you'll have bolts on both sides if you're lucky. The screw head was a PITA to get to). To remove the wipers, if you have them, just flip the black trim on the wiper arm down to expose the nut that holds the arm onto the shaft (8mm), remove that nut, pull it apart, and you're done!

ps2cho -- glad to hear your new lights are on their way! I plan to install mine tonight (as soon as I can get to the store for city light bulbs).

Maybe you're thinking of the city lights? They can be wired in to turn on with the corner lamps (parking lights) or you could wire them to illuminate with the ignition to give them a DRL-like function (though they are just a small bulb that illuminates the main beam reflector, and will not be nearly as bright as the main bulb being on as in most DRL setups). Do a search for W124 Euro light installs and you'll find lots of info on wiring options for the city lights.

Good luck with your install. It's pretty straightforward!

Chris

Well....here she is

What do ya guys think?

Don't worry about the wiper panels underneath...we are moving house and its deep in storage so they will be swapped out for my body colored ones without the wiper insert soon.

Oh here's a weird one for ya....my right hand blinker no longer works for some reason. Ever since I messed around the first time, it hasn't worked since. Comparing the left and right side connector...the inside wires are different colors ???? Does anybody have the correct pin layout for the side markers?

No. Not quite sure what they are. I assume they go into the smaller hole in the main headlight? Does it require any further wiring?

Ya couple things I still need to do. I wanna get my grill replaced as I just sprayed it black but you can see under the hood pulley the paint has worn off.

Once I get all the misfires resolved I wanna get some 17's and lower it a bit.
Hopefully by the end of the summer it will be fixed. I think I'm just gonna hand it off to Enrique soon. Just gotta wait for my dad to get some time to take me up and drive me back. I'll be driving a lifted 1987 Chevy Blazer with 28" wheels in the mean time. Ouch that will hurt my gas lol.

I took a picture last night of the beam, so when I get home tonight I'll a picture of the same place and we will see what the difference is.

I got the 17" version of your wheels....

Actually, I have like 4 sets of wheels, as my family is all Mercedes, and they pretty much fit all the cars, minus the G Wagon.

If you do change out the grille, get the S600 grille, it looks badass.

Thats what I was thinking.

Could you do me a favor and check your wagons blinker cable? Does it have a white or a green tape on it? I'm really confused as to why my right blinker isn't working.

Even better, could you pop open the plastic box and tell me what the pin layout is?

My left and right side have different colored connectors??? That seems strange to me....so I don't know if they are right or not.
Or if you know of a site that shows the side blinker pin layout, that would work too.
