Anyone know anything about them?? My dads looking at a replacement for his SL600, and came across a 1995 Bentley Brooklands, and really likes it....

Anyone know anything good or bad about them?

I have seen it and ridden in it, and its a nice car. I need opinions though.

Find a good reliable and experienced Bentley mechanic to go over it with a fine tooth comb, Bentley parts are frighteningly expensive and in a lot of cases difficult to source away from a main dealer! Beautiful cars but can be a little unpredictable with there build quality good ones are good, but bad ones will bankrupt you! Im a Brit who loves british cars but unfortunately build quality was not our strongest quality!

Its a back and knee issue. He keeps complaining about his knees and back hurting getting in and out of the SL, so hes looking around at something thats better on in the pain department.

A S-Class sedan would seem a logical possibility. While a late W140 isn't free to run, few would consider a Bentley as a more economical alternative. What is the asking price for the Bentley?

He has considered a W140. He just has not found one he likes.... He has also declared the fact that he wants a 98-99 S600 with the Maple Wood trim.

I actually owned a '76 Laguna in the late Seventies. Malibu's were built out of billet steel back then.

I think they wanted 60k for it. I am not sure on the exact price though.

That chair is cool, but it would defeat the purpose of a sports car.

I have to ask my mom what she thinks of the Bentley. I am willing to bet she is going to shoot down that idea.... Although, she did give the approval for the G500 when we thought she was gonna shoot it down.
