Magnetic Bracelets

Any of you guys wear one of them magnetic bracelets? Have you tried to wear one, know someone that wears one? Received one as a gift?

Any stories of it working?

My dad bought one, and says that his elbow and knee have not been acting up since he has started to wear it. He doesn't know if they both healed, or if they actually work... But he says he has not felt this good in a long time.

My 10 y/o daughter buys her magnetic necklaces and bracelet's at the local mall. Save your money and get 2 for 1 at Claires.

If your dad says it works for him, then it works for him. I've seen shoe inserts with magnets too ... perhaps you could get him a set for his next gift.

I only know that magnets on your fuel lines don't work.

Lots of storeies of the working. Look Glucosamine and Chondroitin. All kinds of stories too. Search up the word Placebo and you might find them there. Maybe Dr Magneto in the X-men movie might also be able to help you.

This is a secret Big Pharma doesn't want you to know. They have conned the insurance companies into using their products. Insurance company doctors are actually moles planted by Big Pharma, didn't you know.

Seriously, if there was any way it could really have positive effect, what would make the insurance companies not use them? How much could Big Pharma bribe them into not using them?

Of course they work. I put one on last week and this week I spent less on fuel.

Not true. If you have a broken leg, I can give you enough drugs to the point that you don't even know it is broken or feel the pain. Whether your leg ever regains use or how much, is a different story.

Was that because you spent the money on the magnet instead of fuel?

Well, yes. I ran out on the way home, called AAA to tow me and so my mpg went up. MPG is calculated by miles per gallon. Fuel remained the same and miles travelled on the flatbed were added to the trip meter so that increased my mpg.

It is true, try and make it past the comma. Ask your wife why people complain about a well leg.

Maybe I misunderstood. You are saying that if you think something works, it works? Sure, there is the placebo effect but that works on pain SOMETIMES, not all the time. Are you saying that if I think this syringe is morphine and it can cure my pain it will cure it even though it is water?

Could be referred pain, could be a number of things. What specifically are you talking about.

I know a television engineer that had a lot of back problems/pain. He bought a watch that has two magnets in it and swears that he problems have been solved. Just makes you wonder. I'm no doctor, but you've gotta think that all the electricity in the body should be able to be affected by magnets. I suppose the question is whether magnets can affect the body to a degree that is noticable or can make a difference.
