Hard head make a soft behind

What horrible things have you heard parents say to their kids? We were in a toy store and saw a little boy with his father. Whenever the little boy would run around the father would say, "Hard head make a soft behind". He must have used that phrase 6 or 7 times, he did sound like a parrot. Whenever the father used the phrase the boy's eyes would open wide and he'd get quiet. Do you think this child is a victim of child abuse? My friend's girlfriend was thinking of reporting this to the store manager but we just left

well it depends, i myself believe in spanking children. Now there is a extent to how hard spanking is allowed but how is spanking your child abuse. I think the people who call spanking abuse are people who weren't spanked enough as a child to know. So lets just separate the spank from the abuse. Abuse is damage spanking is not. So I think the father meant stop what you are doing or you will be spanked.

The boy was probably not abused, but I bet he got at least one spanking that he still remembers.

Now that he knows his father will spank him, only the reminder is needed.

The father was making up for his inability to use his brain against a small child, threatening or hitting a child is the same as saying, "I'm a loser".

You got that right.

Imagine that, a little kid getting excited in a toy store. Who would have thought of such obscene behavior from a child?

Wanting the kid to behave is abuse?
