No the front sheet metal on the sedans and coupes is different.

What some of the aftermarket guys did in the 80's was put the coupes front sheet metal on the sedan.

That is an utterly ignorant remark.

The 560 engine was designed to cruise all day at its top speed on the autobahn

At 145 mph the tach was showing only 4800 rpm, the car had Z rated (149 mph) tires that were pretty new and the car was in excellent mechanical shape

He was talking about the BMW, not your SEC. He even quoted that section.

Most new BMW's are throw away leased cars, so run it to the stops from mile one. Just remember to change the oil every 20k and your good!

According to the photo you show in your sig line, you have 5 MB vehicles. Why do you not only want a 6th but want to rescue one from the recycle bin to do so?

I would think you get more money parting it than you would see fixing it. That is, if you have the time and storage space.

Their is no such thing as having to many Mercedes.

Actualy I think the minimum number is 3. One daily driver, a classic, and a sports/weekend car.

Throw a sports car and a work truck in and your up to 5. So you need at least 5 cars for personal use!

Naturaly if they are all the same color combo you score extra points!

well i got it! rad support is able to be pulled but the driver side front frame rail is crunched. i'll try to pull it but that might do this one in as a builder. car is really nice otherwise. i will take some pics as i try to unbend the damage!@
