The hood, which is all aluminum along with the trunk is the most expensive part, I think it costs $2200 or more for just that, new. Buy a pick 'n' pull junkyard one from and 1982-1991
car at a good price, sand it down and repaint.

Not hard to see why it was totaled. The market for these gas guzzlers (The '91s got hit with a $1500 gas guzzler tax, their window sticker shows this

That mattered not to most buyers, who were looking at an $84,500 MSRP on the 1991 models, the last year of manufacture of them being the most desirable and collectible of all of them

(last production of the W126 was actually in April 1992, and in South Africa, to 1994)

Here was mine also a Pearl Black 91 SEAMG a few days ago at the CEC (Claus Ettinger) Wheels/tuning shop, the Brabus/Lorinser/A C Schnitzer specialists on Santa Monica Blvd in Beverly Hills......

wayy to sweet looking to part out (assuming no frame damage). . . There are a ton of 126's in the yards here (and I'd assume where you are at also) I'd fix the car and keep it as a spare, you wont get what its "worth" in the market, mabye someday, not now. Plus, parts arent that expensive, paint will be the only real killer.

A SEC isnt that shabby of a car to rock as a daily driver.

left frame rail is bent over like 4 inches and that will be the killer. i can get another sec that has higher mileage and needs a few things, or use that one (same color) to fix this one, which is nicer. i don't know which way it will go at this point.
