Ah, I just took the top of the SL yesterday just in time for the "steam bath" experience...actually it's more like driving a "hot flash" on wheels!

Top down is great on the road, but it sucks sitting at traffic lights, waiting in bumper-to-bumper traffic in August. Yesterday was exceptionately nice out, though.

There is another month left of the Summer Season.

... and 5 days into autumn is another celebration on the east coast.
All those seasons tend to run together, it's hard to discern one from the other.

I love the fall and am eagerly awaiting it, although the weather here has been pretty damn nice as of late.

Just crank the A/C up and it's not too bad.

Summer is officially over when the first day of school arrives...which was today!

Decided to work from home so I could take my daughter to her first day of HIGH SCHOOL...dang they grow up so fast!

Didn't really get the stuff done I wanted to this summer for the reasons previously mentioned by the other posters...TOO DANGED HOT!!! So the backyard still sucks!

Did get the sound system in the W124 which was a big effort and cleared out some much-needed closet and garage space!

Wifey took the CLK out to work this morning for what seemed like the FIRST time I saw her drive it this summer! Even dropped the top (only time of the day tolerable in Texas)...

This summer was tolerable. not too hot in the DC area this year. Hopefully, the winter will not be too cold, either. Heat and humidity are harder on me than the cold is. I'm becoming less tolerant of either extreme the older I get.
