Wheel Covers
I have a 1976 450SL with what I think are alloy wheels, with the black hub in the center. Does anyone know if regular 14 inch hubcaps will work on these wheels? Thanks.

It would help if you post a pic.
Generally though the aluminum "steelie look" wheels found on the 240d are thicker at the rim and the wheelcovers designed to fit real steel wheels won't go in because they are too tight. Did you take a magnet to it to verify its aluminum? If you find its aluminum you will probably need to find a set of wheelcovers designed for the aluminum "steelie look" wheels. The shape of the center section of the wheel is also critical as they may not fit on it if the center sticks out too much. I doubt that the wheelcovers, for example, would fit on a bundt wheel because of the center. Tom W
