I am thinking of putting it on jack stands just so its off the concrete. The storage unit place has never had any issues of break ins that I know of but its better to be safe ya know.

I wonder if the dims ,10'x15' is 10 wide 15 deep or the other way around... I hope its 15' deep

What did you pay for it? I'm just givin you a hard time about that car. You can get more attention with a delorean than most any car from the average person. People love those things.

looks to be the best one out there.. I'll inspect the storage unit and see if its worth the $90 for the padlock... I had no idea padlocks could be that expensive.

Plus I need to even see if I can like work on my car in the unit.

I have a padlock that looks identical, except with a Master Lock brand. It is also stainless steel body and shackle and a captive cylinder. Master no longer sells it, from what I can tell.

The key on mine is odd. It does not use the edge to push the tumblers as on pretty much every pin-tumbler lock made, but has holes drilled in the side of the key blank, to the appropriate depth for the tumbler.

That lock was put through a garage fire. First intense heat, then lots of water. I had to apply extra force to get the shackle open the first time after retrieving the lock, but after that and some lubrication, it still works as good as new.

Down the marina we have to deal with padlocks all the time, that are frozen or have missplaced keys. We have a tool called the "keys to the city" which works great on all of them.




They come in all shapes and sizes, but they all cut like butter!

Buy a cheap one.

I doubt that could cut through the solid steel cover thing Chad recommended.I use bolt cutters at work to open old lockers of past employees and all the locks are just cheapies and snap like a twig
