We know that some of nVidia's notebook GPUs are breaking, as confirmed with Dell issuing a BIOS patch (if just turning a fan on permanently is a 'patch') to help avert any problems. Now HP has posted up a full list of all 21 if its system that may be affected by this same problem, and offered up a BIOS fix of its own.
The ranges in question include the HP Pavilion dv2000-, dv6000- and dv9000-series and the Compaq Presario V3000- and V6000- series. HP says it has "taken appropriate actions for any HP notebook products that use the known affected nVidia chips".
