Now that we understand your wish to get rid of laws that are supporting the purchase of "gas guzzlers" as Tom alluded to, kindly be more specific and let us all know which laws you want to get rid of.

I don't know of any law that supports the purchase of a gas guzzler, other than the business tax deduction for heavy vehicles (6,500 lb. and up). To my knowledge, this loophole has been closed. It was originally put in place to support heavy trucks for business, but resulted in the average DB buying an Expedition so that he could write it off quickly.

Actually, I do that (pay for someone's health insurance) both directly and indirectly. I don’t know if you do it directly but you do it indirectly.

They might even get a free ride courtesy of the local 911 service, the police, or other aid vehicle. The hospital will care for them and put them back on the street after, if possible. Can you name an instance where “people” don’t control a market? Does Gates (well, now Ballmer) control pricing at Microsoft? Is he “people?” Is he controlling the market? Is Carlos Helu people? Does he control not only most telecommunications in Mexico and Latin America, but also much of the banking? Does Warren Buffet at least for some time not control, say Dairy Queen, Fruit of the Loom, Benjamin Moore Paints, enormous real estate holdings, and hundreds of other enterprises? Does he not control every one of these? Is he “people?
Does Sam Walton not control not only Wal-Mart but virtually every related component of Wal-Mart? Is he not people? The list goes on to nearly every major market.

Nah the SDL is about to be put in storage for a bit. Needs a transmission, just started to puke fluid out at an alarming rate with some good slipping. Also needs a front end rebuild, front brakes, window regulator, and shift rod. $3k this winter, don't think its going to be on the road for awhile. Also needs paint badly. I might just not drive it next year, just keep it in the garage until I finish school and have some spare money.

The Golf OTOH is proving to be a half way decent little car.

Doesn't matter if he moves out. The US taxes it's citizen's worldwide income no matter where on earth they live.
I know about some other things that could help reduce if not eliminate taxes. They cost to set up though.

Well thats an interesting thing, and a big thing that I have been hearing about since it's close to my field of study. Seems like a lot of Americans and American owned companies are not being very truthfull to the old IRS about their earnings over seas. Seems that their are certian ways to hide that money so they only get what you bring in.
