He didn't say he created one out of a Juicy Fruit wrapper and a Swiss Army knife. I say I built an engine, doesn't mean I forged the pistons by hand, and cut the crank myself. Can't anyone around here have a sense of accomplishment and feeling good without someone bashing their head in with a hand turned baseball bat?

Hey, I remember those days!!! Building stuff around the 8080 chip!

But kudos for anyone who can select components, install software and get them all to work in harmony! Sure, it isn't like the old days, but so what???!!!! Who WANTS the old days!!!!????

All three of the computers in our household were built by yours truly...and I felt a sense of accomplishment when each of them fired up and the Windows logo appeared...especially since I'm a software developer, not a hardware geek...

Yeah, What OS are you running.
If you want to run Windows does that mean you have to go out and buy a copy every time?

You can legally retire a machine and reinstall to a new one from the same CD, with the same key. The activation will also work just fine, at least with XP. I have no Vista experience.
