We'll see how quickly the transaction is removed from my credit card. I need to wait for the box to go through their RMA inspection process and then up to 10 business days for a corrective action to show up in my account.

I hope this is the end of it. I'd rather be out a little of my time, than over $800 for something I'll never use.

This is troubling. Are given any info about the nature of the transaction, where it was made, with what, how.. etc?

What is your CC doing to protect you now?

I like that idea...I'm going to do that.

I have been EXTREMELY LUCKY (Damn, I know something is going to screw up now!!!) so far to never have a problem with the cards...but covering the Sec. Num. on the back is a fantastic idea...maybe you can "seal it" with a little clear fingernail polish from the Mrs.' nightstand (ALWAYS ASK PERMISSION FIRST!)...

Then, just put the Sec. Numbers in your cellphone under the credit cards name/number...cool idea!

I actually got a new VISA card not long ago. Citibank said they were sending it to me due to some security breach. I haven't had anything bogus turn up on a CC bill or anything. Maybe I'll call that number, too.

Great tip, TX! I'll be doing that post haste.
