I think I may buy it.
You better be joking...

Perhaps we could vote you off the forum for doing something that stupid. Mods care to chime in?

Those cars are the epitome of American waste and lunacy, their status symbol is far outweighed by most people's outright animosity towards them. Don't be surprised if you get flipped off on a daily basis, especially in California.

Have you no taste man? Have you lost it?

Buy what you like, it's your money right? I know it's hard not to but going through life worrying what other people think is a pain in the ass.

You still have the G-wagen? Why do you want a H2 for? To go slummin? lol

You can see a lot of them any day, trawling Ventura Blvd in the Valley.

Totally pimp, ghetto....

Hideous colors, like chicken fat yellow, with huge chromed wheels and fake diamond script on the fenders, advertising how big the wheels really are, just to be sure a bystander will know - 22, 24, 26.

Suggests insecurites, in, ahhhh, other areas.....

The actual Hummer isn't even made by GM, they just supply the drivetrain. The H2 is just an ugly Tahoe, the H3 is a fat Chevy Chevrolet Colorado and they are a Hummer by name only.

Justin, why give a $h!t what anyone thinks. You want it, buy it. They're not my cup of tea but I have seen some H2's actually driven off road and with the short overhang front and rear the approach and departure angles are pretty decent although the wheelbase is a tad long and they can get hung up. Now if it's just for onroad use...

And skip the 20's.

Not to mention when you're in Studio City at a strip mall with 9 parking spaces and the "double wide" is taking up two spaces. If only I had a camera to show what the door paint looked like.

I can hardly stand driving an expedition HD every now and then for work. I can't imagine what the H2 would be like..

I'm sorry but the H2 is a messed up excuse for an disassociateive disorder masquerading as a needful truck. It’s a not a smart choice of a vehicle. You may be marred for life if you do it. And think of your friends! Think of the low talking, the stifled snickers, the embarrassments that will come. Women will look at you and hold their thumb and forefinger about 2 inches apart. Dozens will look away out of shame when they see you. Some will display anger. Dogs will pee on the tires and everyone except Exxon stock holders will think about scaring the surface with a key edge. People you are following will drive slowly, just to antagonize you. Protect your self-esteem, keep your blood pressure low. Don’t injure your future. Resist.

The H2 is a blending of 1500-series Tahoe parts with 2500-series Suburban bits (note the 8-lug wheels, usually found on 3/4 ton GM trucks). Owing to the weight of the 2500 series pieces, it's heavier than a comparably-sized Tahoe, and runs larger, heavier wheels and all-terrain tires, all of which conspire to diminish fuel economy. Not the easiest vehicle to see out of, and a rear camera is mandatory if you plan to parallel park without squishing a Civic.

As very large SUV's go, it's an inferior choice for street use for the reasons cited above. Off-road? Depends. It's weight requires a damn big tire in order to have sufficient floatation ability to handle deep mud. It should be okay in any off-road environment on a relatively firm surface, where excessive weight is not a tremendous disadvantage. Just bear in mind that the heavier the vehicle, the greater the stopping distance that you will require while driving, particularly on a slippery surface.

If you want a vehicle of this size and you want some flash, I would recommend the Escalade over the H2, as the Caddy is more economical and easier to drive on the street than the H2.

BTW, $10K? Even today, that seems super-low. Has the vehicle been reconstructed and/or a theft recovery?

Clean title. He wants 10k, as that is what the Hummer dealer is giving him for it on a trade in.

I am going to try a Caddie this coming weekend. I want to see how it compares to the H2.

Nothing will replace the G for our 4 wheel drive adventures.

Approval........

Personally, I would not accept one if it were gifted to me..... This goes for all GM & Chrysler products. Some things you just don't want or need in your life.

NO!

If you want off road ability, get a Suzuki Samurai or a CJ, maybe even a YJ or a TJ. If you want bling, go the classy route and get a 600 (if you can afford one) or an S-class.

Do not, under any circumstances, get a Hummer. The military M1113 is the best of the bunch, and it's still a POS. I know because I've worked on them. They only go downhill from there. Please tell us your just f---ing with us.

He drove his G500 and SL600 yesterday, don't worry he's cured again.
