well she was acting defiantly towards law enforcement after numerous similar lawful commands were issued. I have a feeling that the video that is shown does not capture critical moments in the encounter that would allow for one to make an informed judgment call. My feeling is that the media wanted to make the LEO a villain and the citizen an innocent victim for shock value, but like I said, I cant have an informed opinion without seeing the whole encounter.

On another note, view the video about the house being demolished accidentally. Id be LIT!

If she shut her cigarette and Wild Turkey hole and just signed the thing she would have been on her merry way. If she just walked to the back of the truck and signed the ticket she would have been on her merry way. If she stopped trying to walk past the cop and signed the thing she probably would have been on her merry way. I'm not sure there was any good alternative.

Two things:

1. The old lady asked for it and she got it

2. Never stand near passing traffic, many police/people have been struck by distracted drivers in that situation.

True. I can't imagine having trouble with a 72 year old woman though, and I'm half the size of the cop. Both times he pushed her, she went back a good 3 feet. Just manhandle her f'r crissake.
I can only imagine the jokes he must be getting for having to tase an old lady.

I think this cop will be assigned to cushman driving parking ticket duties for a good while to come with no gun and no bullets, not even one Barnie Fife bullet.

The old lady's stupidity is her punishment. Or perhaps she had some temporary condition which rendered her incapable of reasonable judgment. In that case I hope she gets her meds balanced.
