My dad said one that used to be popular in Germany (might still be) is that fords should "come with a big handle on the side, so they are easier to throw away"

Laugh if you want, but a better 30,000 mile car can't be found.

Meaning it will maybe last 30,000 miles?

Actually that is supposed to be 30,000 kilometers. Using miles would be pushing too far.

PUSHING it is the operative word here!

FIAT make wonderful cars with amazing engines and transmissions and designs that are timeless, then screws it all up by building them!

My ex SIL bought a new Alfa spider to COMMUTE in! I told her she was crazy. That an Alfa -- a great car for the garage (with a big piece of cardboard under the engine) and for occasional drives on the weekend -- to the mechanic was all it was meant for not daily driving.

She kept it a month then traded it on an Accord!
