In ALL seriousness, HEB is better than any store in my area. I loved it when I was there. There was another store kind of like Trader Joes when I was in San Antonio, I can't remember the name. What other stores do you have out there besides HEB?

The "ready to eat" part of HEB rocks! I've lunched at the one in Austin.

Works for me! As long as they continue to sell their chips and salsa, I will be a customer.

My boss told me that his best friend growing up lived right next to the Trader Joes in South Pasadena. Said that they called it the "second fridge"....

My mom shops there all the time. It's not really that close, a few towns over, and you've got to battle with the yuppies, yippies and 30 thousandaires in the parking lot just to get in the place. If it weren't such a PITA I'd probably go there more often.

Why canned salmon rather than fresh or frozen?

What are the territories? Does ALDI still exist?
The only thing I remember is the ALDI stores in West Berlin were empty as soon as the holes in The Wall were big enough to let a Polish truck through ...

Yeah, they got a lot of stuff by the registers, like "Ritter Sport" chocolate and those Altoids. I had found some real nice wine from Australia for $3.99 per bottle, it's usually on the very bottom shelf

The different salsas are excellent, I have to find those longboard chips ...
