Back on topic: I think Bill Murray has had FAR better scripts lately, so career-wise, overall, Bill gets it. Not only are the Wes Anderson movies amazing, he also has the benefit of Broken Flowers, Lost in Translation, etc... all working in his benefit.

Chevy Chase also got into a feud with Howard Stern over something, although I don't remember what it was. Chase tried to be funny in his attacks on Stern, but it was a mismatch. Stern made him look really bad. Chase has done some funny stuff, though. Murray is a much better actor, IMHO. |

Murray is the better actor, Chase is better in SNL skits.... Can't say that i enjoyed the Wes Anderson movies though. When I look at Stripes, etc. they seem very dated now...but those movies did carry on the National Lampoon tradition....

Between the two - I'd give Bill Murray the nod.
But...in my book, Steve Martin puts them both to shame - no contest. "I was born a poor black child..." |

Steve Martin . . . who can forget his role as a snobbish waiter in "The Muppet Movie"
of course, there was Parenthood, Roxanne, Simple Twist of Fate, L.A. Story |
