I called Ken Brown of Mercedes of Monteray cali for those skid plates for the SDL and retail for them is like $500 for both of them...GAH!. Damn who ever lost them on my SDL or didnt pay attention to road debris and ripped them off...

If I feel enterprising I think I will have to get under there with some cardboard, tape measure and sharpie and make my own out of aluminum

Yes, the W126 is a land yacht, but a land yacht that is very capable in aggressive handling maneuvers. If you want some excitement with your SDL try 'switching the drive mode from funeral procession to mafia car chase'.

And to be honest as much as I like driving my W126 I do prefer the drive of a W123. But, then the W123 is the perfect car.

You should go to Walmart to get a bucket and play some Walmart bingo while you're at it.

I went to Lowes lol

I just washed my car and kinda want it to get the body work and repaint it much needs. Parts that need replacing are

Front fenders
Front Bumper
drivers side lower cladding
left rear cladding, forward of the rear tire
replace that window metal with the new stuff

Then its a matter of finding someone to do the spraying, I bet I could like manage filling in the minor dings with body filler and hammering out the one in the rear.

I'd go with the original color so I can keep it OG

but for like right now I want to repaint the mirror housing and headlight wiper arms(I need a euro setup)

anyone repaint this? What color and stuff did you use?

The belly pans were not included. Find a set, their must be one in the junkyard some where with belly pans on it.

I'm going to need them for Brians car, when I buy his.

do you know how hard it is to find a ****ing SDL in the junkyard.. then let alone one with those damn belly pans... sun valley, potomac, potomac south, LKQ, and a handful of other damn Mercedes only breakers do not have them. I called all of them today

they are 300/350SDL specific...
