Axle nut tool question
The axle nut on my 96 Suzuki Sidekick is tightened/loosened with the tool linked below. The specific tool is $70 on Ebay. I hate to spend that much on a tool with a single purpose. Anyone know of a generic tool that would accomplish the job? What would a tool like this be called?

Looks like a pretty specialized tool.....I'd not mess around with stuff that might not work (or damage it)....

A little research on a Suzuki forum revealed that the axle nut requires 170 ft lbs of torque. Looks like I wont to either removing or installing that nut without the proper tool.

Can you rent it from a place like Autozone?

Thanks. I had just looked at those threads. I ordered the one on ebay since the nut requires such torque. I had the bearings replaced at a local shop because I don't have a press and when I got it back there was too much play in the wheel. I'm pretty sure they didn't realize that axle nut has to be torqued to 170 ft lbs. I disassembled the hubs and can move the nut with my fingers. I suspect they thought it was tightened as if it had tapered roller bearings. Not so.
