The Speed of Light...........

Answer me this.

Science says that nothing(with mass) can travel at the speed of light......correct? But, light travels at the speed of light, does it not?...........AND like a black hole, a place where gravity is so strong that even light cannot escape,
there for, if light is effected by gravity, it must have mass, and therefore
mass can travel at the speed of light.

Now, when you figure this out, I will make light travel faster than the speed of light

light is made up of photons, which have no mass

The speed of light increases as light reaches the speed of light

Easy now Sir Isaac.

It is an incorrect assumption that only something with mass can be affected by gravity.

I'm still waiting for the incorrect assumption which allows light to travel faster than the speed of light.

You're mixing the Special Theory of Relativity with the General Theory of Relativity and that doesn't work. They haven't come up with the unifying theory of life, the universe and everything yet, but I hear that Slartibartfast is working on it.

BTW - spelling counts when you're pontificating.

Einstein postulated that bending light created gravity at one time. He thought he had proven it as well. Turns out now that may not be correct.

He was warned by many contemporaries to leave the subject of gravity alone. Too many people before him got burnt out trying to find the cause. Perhaps if his wife had tackled the problem herself we might know. I still think it may be an unknown yet.

If the relevent speed of light is always the same in relationship to your own velocity that introduces many questions in itself. Some things like how the carmel gets into the chocolate bars as well are sometimes better left alone. Man for all his posturing may still really know very little. Compared to what there is to learn out there.

ouch - memory test

So years ago I worked at a government nuke site. We made the plutonium from uranium. The fuel rods came out of the reactor and then sat in a 50' deep "cooling" tank for 6 months or so until they could be processed. These underwater rods glowed that aquamarine color seen in the movies. It was explained to me it was nuclear particles going from the speed of light in a solid (atom) to speed of light in a liquid. The particle realizes the speed of light is slower in the water and has to give off energy in the form of light to slow down. I think they called it Cherenkoff radiation. Maybe they were messing with me... but the aqua color was way cool!

The speed of light is fast, but the speed of darkness is faster. Think about it. When you enter a dark room and turn on the light, the darkness goes away just a tad bit faster than the light.

light interacts with matter and has different speeds thus refracts at interfaces. How do you think eye glasses work.
if space is curved and distorted so much as in case of black hole, light travels through that curved space and is trapped and interacts with matter in the black hole

I can make light travel millions of times of times the speed of light.

If you were to take a flashlight, and point it at the heavens then
flick you wrist, you would make that beam of light travel across
many galaxys in the blink of an eye.......many times the speed of light

Not quite, Mr. Wizard. Your POINT OF AIM would be shifting fast, but the light itself will only travel at light speed. Aliens in the far galaxies would only see a brief blink of light, if they even had eyes, or could see a light that dim, or cared about it at all...

Different thing. Light is light. Dark is anti-light and as such cannot exist in the same space. C'mon! Didn't you learn anything from StarTrek?
