Saving my pennies, I want a Regulator 23, with a Yamaha 250 hanging off the stern. In fighting lady yellow, or see mist green I think they call it.

Large enough to handle some rough stuff, but not to big to be a PITA to use all the time.

IMHO they make the best center console you can buy, except maybe Edgewater. Whaler isn't a bargin on the bigger boats; since they are built like an Igloo cooler they lose a lot of room. Not a fan of their pricing or layout.

Another option is a Shamrock. I don't really care for outboards since they are expensive and you have a big hunk of metal in your way at the transom when your trying to land fish. Indboards are better, plus they drift better, and handle better, and are cheaper to fix.
