I think most of those "online" sites are torrent and "spam-o-rama" oriented.

To be honest it wasn't all bad. I needed a DVD player anyways and I got it for a really good price. Also once I heard that it was going to be killed I knew exactly what to do...wait About 6 months later you could pick up an HD DVD on amazon for close to the cost of shipping.....that $75 sure bought me a lot of movies

haha right on! I have a Laserdisc player that I love and ocasionally watch movies on... Who needs all that HD DVD Blu Ray crap when you have... LASERVISION lol

Since Betamax was obviously a superior format over VHS, I wisely had my college graduation speech mastered in Beta!
