1) Click on the following link and download AVG to your desktop

2) Double-click on the downloaded file to run it

3) AVG will present you with three options to choose from. Choose the Uninstall option to completely uninstall AVG

Add/Remove Components - choose if you want to add/remove some components or reinstall the entire AVG program

Repair installation - this option repairs or reinstalls missing or damaged components of AVG

Uninstall - this option removes the AVG program from your PC

4) Once the uninstall has completed, restart your computer.
I'm not inclined to download anything from those people, as they've screwed things up pretty badly already, why give 'em a second chance?
I've tried multiple times to un-install, after jumping through all the hoops, it reinstalls, or says it can't complete the task. It slows things down by daily updates and scanning, I already have that. Any program that won't allow a normal un-install has ulterior motives, at least in my book. I can't remove all of their stuff, but some, what's left takes up space without my permission, when humans do that, I have options, with AVG, I don't.

Download ccleaner and uninstall AVG using the uninstall feature. Just make sure you're wearing your tin hat during the uninstall to insure it's all gone.

I've heard of those virus things. Never had one though. Mostly Windows folks get 'em I hear.

It's alright. I've used it and I fall back to my Mac and Windows 7 set ups.

They're all tools in my books. Not some god given be-all-end-all gift from karl and jesus.

Never had a problem with AVG. Sure you aren't confusing it with Norton AV?

I'm sure. Norton doesn't hang around unless you pay for it.

Malwarebytes, CCleaner....Combofix.....all good. AVG? Nah. I've never run an antivirus software and have yet to have an issue.
