Cool Ultimate toy!

I wonder if Viktor Bout could provide all the fireworks to mount on the wings for some extra special 4th of July fun!

Though that does look like a whole mess-o-fun...

The first thing that comes to mind is the DOC (Direct Operating Cost) of the beast.
Buying the aircraft would not be the main issue as far as money goes. Keeping it maintained, stored, insured and fueled on the other hand…..
I’d have to question the availability of airworthy spare/replacement parts and short cycle items as well.

Then there’s its rather limited usage. Definitely an air show tour aircraft. Have to wonder if the circuit would pay what it would cost to profit an appearance though.

Then there’s –
Well...It’s kind of like someone handing you a Ferrari F430 and making you stay in first gear and not allowed above 3000 RPMs.

If there is one thing you always forget about the Su-27 it's the sheer size of the thing....

As far as fighters are concerned it is (I think only the Mig-31 is larger and technically that's a dedicated interceptor, not a fighter)

I wouldn't want one unless you have to think in Russian to use the tactical assets.
