I'm 35 miles north of Philly and we lucked out again, got about 8-10 inches. I'll take the snowblower to it tomorrow.

It is OVER!

Hi,

No snowfall here. Even no rain. This was a dry winter here in my city.

I think I'd prefer to worry about snow falling from the sky rather than missiles from CIA drones. Whereabouts are you in Pakistan? We don't have many Pakistani members.

This was a co-worker trying to get to the door at 8am.

So do you guys in Md and Va think I can make it down tomorrow with the Suburban? We really lucked out in NY so far and have not seen a flake - well except for the one typing!

I live in Lancaster and from what I saw today when i was out the majors have had a lot more work done than the secondarys(typical) If you can I would check the state websites for closed roads etc. I an tell you this from Upstate ny you wont have a problem until you get down below I-80. Only about 3" in hazelton.

I pass through Lancaster twice a week... We should get together

I usually take I-78 to I-81 and then hit I-83 in Harrisburg. I run down US -15 into Virginia...

I am staying in Ashburn this week.

It wasn't too bad here. We got about 12" I think, but the wind created some pretty deep drifts.

The odd thing was that when I went out at 4PM to do more shoveling, the snow was actually less deep that earlier. I suppose that it was consolidating due to its own weight. I just had never seen it before. One time its over my knees, and then a few hours later its below my knees.

As far as travel, I would suspect the last mile or two will be the critical factor in your trip.

No way!!! You should take a trip 20 miles south to conshohocken...We got almost a foot more than that, amazing how localized this storm was.

Damage to my car...no fun!

Yes that is me, waist deep in snow, we got a ton of the stuff, some drifts about 3 feet, on average about two feet. Tough to tell in the rowhome-wind-tunnel environment.

Still no power. Got up this morning and it was 39 in the house. We are now in a Holiday Inn in Leesburg at the intersection of Hiway 7 and 15. Roads aren't very good. Thank God for the neighbors that helped dig the wife out. Can't do much since the surgery.

MY power went out at 6:30 yesterday morning. Still out:o
Top of a pine tree snapped under the weight of the heavy wet stuff and high wind and landed right alongside my outside. hvac unit just before the power went down. Still about 60,000 homes around here without power.
Fortunately, the g'f's power was uninterrupted.;) Stayed there last night and will tonight too.
Worst snowfall here in a long time, maybe going back to 1978. I guess I got around 20-22 inches. On top of about 8 or so last weekend. WTF.
Cardiac workout for cardiac patients!. ;) Not!:P
I'd take pics with my cell camera except I have a failing battery. I went to ATT this afternoon and " we only have one computer working and you're number three". Can you sell me a battery for my blackberry. "We don't have any". Can I upgrade? "Not without the computer". I'll be back tomorrow.:(

LUVMBDiesels 02-07-2010 08:49 PM

OK,so I get to Virginia and check into the hotel. THEN I get an email saying the office is closed tomorrow!
