I can agree with you there. I'm not too fond of Catholicism either.

Which I would contend is a byproduct of the whole celibacy shtick. However they are not the only religious body to have that problem though certainly they appear to be the most severly affected.

I think the whole celibacy thing is what leads to the pedophilia. They are just setting themselves up for failure with such grandiose visions. If they REALLY wanted to show that they were devoted to the church, then instead of a vow of celibacy, they would get themselves castrated, ensuring not only celibacy, but that they could actually be trusted around little boys. Although I'm not real sure I would trust someone who would voluntarily have themselves castrated, so I guess it's a moot point anyway.....................

Yes, I agree that any organized religion will have it's people. That is not in dispute. Fact of the matter is, one of their own, Cardinal Law was LYING about the priests, shuffling them around to hide the problem. A Cardinal is not just a simple priest. He is basically a Prince of the church and can someday be Pope, the leader. When busted, the Pope does the catholic shuffle and sends him to the Vatican to hush it up. Much like Law did himself. So, what does that say about the whole organization when the head of the organization doesn't believe and/or follow their own rules about being honest, blah, blah, blah?
