Definition of Impractical :

": incapable of dealing sensibly or prudently with practical matters c : impracticable"

that is what a Cabriolet is.

I thought I could at least fit a new desk in the backseat of the cabriolet from IKEA since their crap is flat packed and usually manageable. nope not at all.

things more useful than a cabriolet

1) Prius
2) wheel barrow
3) anything with fold down rear seats
4) Colin Coon's wagon
5) a redneck pickup truck
6) my old SDL(but this is debatable)
7) something with a real roof
8) two bums paid $50 to haul my purchase home
9) A sled dog team

Lesson #1. A cabriolet is not an all purpose vehicle for the tradesman, do-it-yourselfer or furniture buyer.

Lesson #2: it is bad form to complain about the hauling utility of a classic W124 cabriolet that was given to you for free.

You got the cabrio for free and you're complaining?

Tell you what: I'll pay to have the furniture delivered and you give me the cabrio, ok?

Lesson # 3. A cabriolet is the ideal accessory to facilitate the most important activity for a young man like Joe...namely getting laid.

Lesson #4. It's been proven many times that you can't fit 5 lbs. of crap in a 3 pound bag.

You kidding. I would think a Z06 would help more.

For some reason, I get the feeling that there's a certain lack of sympathy on this "issue".

I wonder what it could be?

Thats why I have a VW rabbit for a daily driver. Fun story here...

My ma and I were at K-mart for our furniture shopping (Wal-Mart is satan, and where else can you get a dinner table for $89?) and we had taken my VW. We found the table we wanted and asked the slack-jawed yokel to grab one and meet us at the front.
Crater Faced wage monkey "Whut kind uh truk y'all got?"
Me: A VW Rabbit.
CFwm: "Ain't gonna fit. Wouldn't n'even fit in muh truk."
Me: "Just meet us at the front."

After a suitable waiting period (enough time to grow gray hair... and lose it) CFwm met us at the door when I pulled up the Rabbit. He shook his head and spit out a wad of chewing tobacco so large you'd need a commercial driving license to move it. He started trying to tell me about "delivery programs" and how he wouldnt mind taking it home in his truck for us for a small fee. By the time he was done, I'd reminded him that it wouldn't fit in his truck and pointed to the table's box in the back of the VW with the front seats still all the way back.

Welcome to customer service in east Tennessee
Me: "Looks like there's room for two more in there, wouldn't you say? By the way you got ripped off on your truck."

you're not green.. lol ... I dont know I started making one of those weird lists that you make from time to time and just started putting junk.

I did send you a text but got no reply. Figured you were at work. I was going to give you that amp to you if you came to my house anyways. I told you you can sell the bumper and keep the cash or throw it in a dumpster lol

Tyler wants to trade for the wagon.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

How can you NOT fit a flat packed desk into that car? Obviously, you weren't trying hard enough.

2 chairs, a coffee table, a bench, 2 side tables, a 4x8 rug, a pillow, a picnic blanket, AND 2 people all home from Dulles VA in the red miata.

lol.. well I didnt want to mess up the paint or interior. If the weather wasn't crappy I would have been ok with the top down but it was very overcast.
