Oh wow!!! What class??!

Good luck to you as well!

I think my pile of books from 2 semesters isn't even that big...but! Yay for amazon! Shame I didn't think of it sooner. I'm thinking of selling them on there too...but I have never sold anything through the internet (unless you count asking a friend if they want to buy something through e-mail and then we meet up in person and exchange money for item >_<) but I have bought stuff...we'll see how it goes.

one more week until exams for me...ugh...scary!

Its a cultural studies grad class...most of those books are media books though. I think in total I got 21 books and spent only $115 including shipping on Amazon, not bad. Good luck!

Oh WOW! 21 books under $150? Now THAT is awesome. Was that big hard-cover one on the bottom the most expensive? I won't make the mistake of buying at the school store again. Or selling there. Unless, of course (somehow) they are cheapest or the same price as online. And thanks!

My focus is more toward media but there are a lot of deleuzo-guattarian (post-foucault) studies being performed now. Lots of stuff surrounding cultural identity, globalization, and micropolitics/individual identity. My personal goal is to figure out how the internet all fits in with classic interpretations of media...thesis will probably revolve around deleuze and guattari's work but using it to extend media/technology studies and ecology to incorporate the interwebz

The big one on the bottom was like $25 I think, no idea why someone was selling it that cheap...it was still in a plastic shrink wrap. Its an awesome book, "the book of probes" by Eric & Marshall McLuhan, visually awesome, interesting from an aesthetic and graphic design standpoint but its a essentially a collection of important McLuhan quotes.

No kid'n !!

At ERAU back in the late 80s, I think the average cost PER BOOK was around $150.00.

But yeah that's cheap. Wow. Still in plastic shrink wrap too? HA! They stole it from the bookstore and sold it to you >_< Just kidding.

Tom,

That stack of books reminds me of my junior year roommate who in his last senior semester took a course on the "History of African Culture." I think his prof. had them read something like 12 books on various tribes and cultures.

He was expecting a "cush" course when he signed up. Ha!
I tried to warn him off. He worked his arse off on that course. And he was thinking he was going to spend all spring drinking at Kelley's.

Anyway, congratulations on finishing up young man.

Why aren't you down the shore enjoying the 85 degree temperature? Nice beach day Saturday was here in God's country.
