There might have been one closer in the past but they closed down a bunch of the original centers.

I guess Maybach wasn't any worse an idea than the VW Phaeton...a car that went WAY upmarket with a name that Americans aren't sure how to pronounce.

That was probably it's biggest problem. The cars themselves where magnificent but the brand recognition pretty much needed to be built from scratch.

Also for anyone who's curious it is pronounced MY-BACH not Maybeck.
