Probably shouldn't have supported and contributed to Mountbatten liberating Singapore from the hands of the Japanese in 1945 either.

However you want to twist it is ok with me...Do you deny the fact that America has been involved in more wars than any other nation? I think its becuase the leaders are sick..Dont worrie cheif...the end is near for America's sovern rein..the Chinese have something for all that..Just a matter of time...UNLESS of course...American leaders can figure out a way to keep to themselves..mind their own business...and feel it nessacary to solve everything thru war.

Yeah, that will be an improvement--when the Chinese take over; no problems with that.

Same for Islam being a " religion of peace"--that only means that when the entire world is under Muslim law, there will be peace, as no opposition is allowed.

no one's looking forward to either development; i would say the former is the more likely.

An informative book is "The New Terrorism" by Andrew Tan & Kumar Ramakrishna- written in 2002. thru 'Eastern University Press'- which explores Anatomy, Trends and Counter-Strategies. The authors predicted this 'wiki' thing way back then. I also feel it is good to get a differant perspective, other than the 'Western" view,,,which can be sensationalised thru the media propaganda wave. Typical Western view that Islam is completely at fault, and the root of terrorism, as shared by Ms. Fowler is actually what bin Laden hopes to achieve..fact is , she isnt 'quite right' in her assumption concerning Islam. Unless of course I have mis-read her. Fact is America's military strategy has failed..if they have 'won'..why are they still there? By still being there, bin Laden has acheived his goal..that is in part to destroy America financially. Ha..the search for bin Laden reminds me of the search for Geronimo..its becoming a joke~

Chillcut,
The "MS" in "MS Fowler" are initials; not a gender reference.
Second, I agree that Osama has achieved much of his stated goals. The massive growth of our government in the name of Homeland security, and its attendant costs, as well as the infringements on our historic freedom were all things he hoped for.

Thirdly, before you dismiss Islam as no real threat, take a few minutes to view this video:

I have a conflict---In a previous job, I worked with a Muslim; he was perhaps the kindest, gentlest, most generous person I have ever gotten to know.

Low brow humor revels in insults.

I'm not chuckling at it as an insult, sorry if you took it that way. I'm chuckling at the interpretation of MS as Ms. Maybe it's funnier if it happens to the other guy....

I apoligise for assuming you were female, the ms thing threw me off. However this brings up an interesting paradox. I see 'MS',, I think you are female...some people see 'Muslim' , they think 'terrorist'.. hmm...As for the video I viewed..the author says a lot of things,,and he doesnt say a lot of things. Namely..In the koran, Jesus Christ is held in such high regards that he is mentioned 148 times, as opposed to 4 times for Muhammad. Jesus is also given credit for being believed to be the one who will return to the earth to calm the people during 'the last days', Muhammad is not. Also,, the author has the title "Ihateallreligions',,therefore see him as simply someone who is trying to get an agenda across. He also does not open his site/rants to oppositional viewpoints , as is done here in forum.in my opinion,,he has no credibility.
