Exactly, both countries are more interested in maintaining their commercial relationship than any of this nonsense. The US's biggest concern is making sure that north korea doesn't end up with this toy.

Oh this is a bunch of crap, I'm sure the DOD helped them out.

Their have been sea skimming ship killing missles for years. The Iranians have used them to particularly good affect. The USS Stark was nailed by a couple of them and survived.

Carrier task forces are designed to defend against incoming missles. ICBM's can be shot down. I suspect they are just trying to get more funding for that laser shooting 747.

The main improvement on the Chinese design seems to be the range, but thats not really such a big deal. It just gives use more time to intercept them.
