Three observations:
One the car looks to have stock wheels and tires. I don't believe he can smoke a lambo with them, all he'd smoke is his tires.

Two, I don't believe it weighs three hundred pounds less than the stock 260e for a minute.

Three it is very impressive that that huge air filter fits under the hood.

But most of all what the heck was he thinking??????

I agree with you. But when you say sleeper, you wonder why the hell would you put your tank in the middle of the seat like that. Along with the shifter, gauges, and all the other buttons on the console.

Why didnt he transplant a 6.9 Mercedes motor into it? The thing looses a lot & we see that in the low bids.

You know, this got me thinking, I wonder if there is some profit to be had in opening a small factory in which new 6.3 & 6.9 engines are created from old blueprints but with modern updates such at direct injection, distributor-less ignition systems, electric cooling fans, etc. Maybe 1 engine every week with a small staff of 3-4 people? These seem like the only old Mercedes-Benz motors that people are willing to pay high dollar for.

All these M102, M103, M104, M117, even M119 engine powered cars are all bought by us enthusiasts as 2nd to 10th owners looking for a cheap car to avoid car payments and drive until we decide to part it out. The 6.3 & 6.9 engine though may be the key...

Wishful thinking, starting a manufacturing outfit in the USA is a bad idea now-a-days anyways, and nobody is going to buy a 6.3 or 6.9 created in China...

There is no ONE single AMG part on this vehicle, so this just another "put together" hot rod that is being marketed by aqbusing th4e AMG name and reputation to try and sell it.

$12,000 is a lot of money for a piece of junk like that, by calling it AMG he is just trying to recoup all the money he wasted, trying to put it together.

What a waste of money.

PLUS he knows NOTHING about women. Most of them HATE it when you floor the gas and screech the tires.

I can show you the teeth marks on my AMG Mercedes' dashboard to prove it.

Nearly all MB's with chevys are disliked by the MB crowd, and nearly all have goofy headlights and some strange stuff purists will put down. I'd love ot have a sleeper like that - but without the nitrous in the back seat. Would I pay 12 grand? No.

Mad scientist/engineer: Vat is this blue thing in the back seat?

Wannabe AMG guy: Um, it blows in NOx?

Emma: It's definitely blowing.

Its not putting that kind of power down through stock tires, I'm amazed the rear end hasn't blown apart either.

Oh it'll just smoke one tire like crazy.

Now put bigger stickier tires on it and stand back....now you'll break something.

"my AMG Mercedes" not a REAL documented AMG Mercedes right? Just a Mercedes with some AMG parts stuck on it as you found them? Does the badge make the car AMG, how about the decal, the shift knob, the headers at what point do the add on parts make the car AMG. Is the criteria " ONE single AMG part" or two or three? Does the pedigree start with the "period correct badge" or a documented authentic AMG tuned engine?

I only ask because it seems to be in the eye of the beholder?

"He's customized his Mercedes to include some stock accessories, as well as unique-to-his-vehicle additions. They include a period-correct AMG trunk script and air cleaner decal, European OEM oddments box, fire extinguisher and Warndriecke warning triangle plus clips, burl wood cup holder and shift knob, Eibach springs and custom-fitted New Zealand sheepskin seat covers. Many of the parts were purchased over the Internet via a system of Mercedes owners who have also become friends, Bxxxxl said.

Most recently Bxxxxl added a custom-made Remus exhaust system on his car. Remus is one of the top exhaust system manufacturers for the F-1 races in Europe, according to Bxxxxl, and they custom-engineered application specific exhaust systems for the 560 SEC Mercedes coupe. Although now out of production, Bxxxxl was able to buy a brand new Remus system from an Internet friend who had stored it for a decade in his garage and was willing to sell it to Jim."
