Well, you can get into specifics and talk about how your apple is better than that orange but only on Tuesday between noon and 1pm. We can discuss Sullenberger' state of mind or anything else but IN GENERAL, The surgeon still lives if he botches up the surgery. Sullenberger dies if he botches the landing. There is incentive in both cases. One has more incentive.

the United States Navy and the United States Air Force. one in particular was a former fighter jock who is now a pilot for one of the major airlines. and, his story isn't unusual, there are a lot of commercial airline pilots who were formerly military.

I was talking specifics, as I really don't wish to fly with a pilot who does not possess a strong desire to live, and an equally strong desire not to die.

Obviously, many commercial pilots got their training in the military, kind of goes without saying....oops, too late

Their lack of fear of dying is evident from most of their wasitlines . . . from the look of most senior commercial captains walking through airports, they look about one cheeseburger short of a coronary.

well.....you may wish to strongly consider the background of your pilot. if he/she has no fear of dying, and more specifically was TRAINED to not be afraid of death, then he may approach situations differently than in the way you may want him/her to.

think about that the next time you fly the friendly skies.......

a coronary is always a possibility, isn't it? whether underweight, about right, or over weight, ANYBODY including a pilot can kick the bucket for any reason at any time. think about that the next time you fly the friendly skies......

Aeroflot had a great story awhile back . . . a drunk captain . . . the passengers up in arms . . . then the company, in a press release, said that the passengers were victims of a mass delusion, they all had the same dream.

Actually, I wanted to know which airline to book Rush's next trip on. Maybe we can get him up there with one of your pilots.

Why bother? Waste of a good airplane. Don't know why people seem to think he is important

rush reads peachparts???

Regardless of what you may say, I refuse to believe that you actually listen to him. Tripe is tripe, no matter which side of the stomach it's cut from, and you seem entirely to intelligent to listen to the bombast presented by Rush.

Dunno but there are enough liberals that insist on giving him the publicity he needs which brings him the $$.

He was funny when we were doing some heavy drinking, I have to admit. Not sure what he was talking about but he was a barrel of laughs.
