Falling through 1500 AGL in a flat spin and not being able to apply forward stick because the student in the front seat has panicked and locked up holding the stick to his belly. (And, the back of his head being just out of reach.) --- The antonym feeling: Living through it. ---

Don't be so quick to think of it as "letting him down".

Perhaps some day (perhaps now), your child will see that you were/are simply not stooping to their level.

My sincerest admiration for your strength.

I appreciate the kind words but I still have a tough time with it. So many times it comes down to a PC argument, but I see it more as common decency. For some reason mocking those least able to, or least willing to, defend themselves is fine to some. I suppose it's more of a reflection on those who chose what they see as easy targets for humor as anything else.

Having a dream that your eating a giant marshmallow and waking up to find your pillow is missing.

The way I see it, when you tell a joke, someone, something has got to be the butt of it. You could make a dumb dog joke and I could take offense because I am a dog person just as I could make a "retard" joke and you get upset or you could make a dumb Chinaman joke and I take offense at it.

I think a thicker skin is in order. OTOH, if all your jokes are "dumb Chinaman jokes", I might start to take offense. If they are kinda spread out, it is just a joke.

I guess some of us have a different view of what’s appropriate. What’s not. And, what should never be.

That was Shelby. Not me. Chigger bites are kind of a given around here. Part of dove season for that matter. Every season is a new challenge with a new can of DEET. And every season there’s one day that...

Edit:
Thanks for the PM.
Hats off to ya.

Careful, somebody is likely to volunteer to scratch them for you

Then you might have another addition to this thread
