Pricing as in should I blow $34k on this and be dumb. Toys are not really what I need to be buying at this point, would be a very dumb move. Fun though, can't argue with that.

Back in the real world I'm working on a house for myself, found some property, working on getting the owner to sell. Want to build myself something.

Not getting the list.

I am working on building a house for myself, I found a parcel I can get for a song...just need to win the owner over. Naturally it has issue but I like issues.

Try to avoid building one of those $120K plastic faced cookie cutter houses without any windows.............

If you can build using primarily leverage on-the-come, for little or no money down, less a portion of labor/materials, I don't see the downside.

Lots of upside. For starters having my own garage.

I happen to like vinyl siding, well actually I don't really care for it but I do hate painting and paying $400 a square for ceder a lot more.

Depending on how much room and board the folk's are charging, would determine my exit point - were I to do it over again.

At $45 a week room and board in 1972, I was getting by OK at the folks' home in Omaha.

Getting out in the world is advisable at some point, however.
