After weighing all of the options, I think I'm going to buy one for my sales rep. next fiscal year (after Oct. 1 for us). It seems to be a good compromise of utility, mileage, price and reliability while being something you could live with for a daily driver. It certainly has grown in size over the past few years!

Should be a good choice! Anything is better than a Chevy Montana

Hell, if I use the Uplander as a gauge there's not much on the road these days that could be a worse choice!

I think you'll love the choice.

Maybe by then they will have ditched the 4-speed automatic.

I prefer to think of myself as manly enough, and secure enough in my manhood, to drive whatever the hell I want.

Dress shirts in general aren't my thing and pink is not really my color, but I have worn pink before.

Most of the lesbians I know drive pickup trucks.

At least those old Subarus were cheap and simple, with no timing-belts to break, and availible as more frugal front-drive versions. They were horrible rusters though.

OTOH, a friend has a 2004 turbo Forester. The intercooler makes routine fluid checks an ordeal, and changing sparkplugs requires jacking/dropping the engine until the heads clear the frame-rails!

Happy Motoring, Mark
