Had Charles Bronson taken this nut job out BEFORE he went off, nobody would have died.

In the real world, "Charles Bronson" probably would have hit four bystanders, a streetlight, two cats, and his own foot while missing this guy.

yeah, the situation would not have improved with the presence of more lead missiles. think fewer. or none.

more importantly, what wonderful parents spawned this mutant, and what's their take on the situation? are they in "seclusion"? "sedated"?

If you search around you will find an interview with a neighbor who talks about this guy's father yelling at him when he put "smelly" trash out to be picked up. It may be a case of someone who never got treatment because his parents were too screwed up to help him, who knows?

He did make some pretty good movies, he always kicked ass.

The problems almost always begin at home. Saw a show on The DC Sniper and his side kick John Lee Malvo. Malvo's mother was real mean to him as a child and his father was not in his life. So, when Muhammad (am I spelling it right?) came along, he latched onto him as a 'father figure'. The only problem was that Muhammad taught him how to do some very bad things. Some people should never be allowed to have children. The child suffers and in some cases, everybody else suffers. Chances are, once they dig into this guy's background, they'll discover serious problems with the parents.

Gun control is like trying to fight drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to buy cars.

That's a fact. When we take into account some of the things children view on television, it's no wonder they do some of the things they do. Combine TV with the latest violent computer game and here comes trouble. They are patterning their minds after their television role models and acting out through the computer games.

Last I checked, it's known as "visualization".
