Even then, events like AZ, VA Tech, and the shooting at Ft. Hood can still occur.

I have known gun store owners do just that, under the claim "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" I have seen a gun shop owner tell a "wonky" person to leave his store and not come back. Usually, the problem seems to be with the big box stores, where the clerk is just doing his job....

Sure, and it is very easy to buy a gun illegally anyway. All the "gun control" rhetoric is pretty worthless.

Which is why England has all those mass homicides. What, you say mass homicides rarely occur in England? Nevermind.

Maybe where you live, but certainly not where I live.

In NJ, if you're caught with an unregistered gun, even in the most innocent set of circumstances, it's a 5 year mandatory prison term.

Frankly, I was surprised that nobody in the crowd drew a weapon to take out the shooter. This is AZ afterall . . .

England didn't try to control guns after there were already 300 million of them in circulation.

Yeah, I'm sure no-one in NJ owns an unregistered gun.

I don't want to control guns, I want to control who owns guns. Perhaps you can tell me, in some sort of logical fashion, why are we arming lunatics?

I don't agree with arming anyone, I have no desire to own a gun and I would be more comfortable if we were more like england.

However, once everyone and his dog already has a gun, and most of them are not stored securely, it's a little silly to think passing laws will prevent "lunatics" from obtaining one. This seems like the ultimate case of closing the barn door behind the horse. I don't really think we can do anything to prevent these types of events.

And that is one thing I am thankful for. The thought of 15 or 20 Charles Bronsons pulling out their pieces and blasting away is a worse thought than the one nut job going off.
