Not lower than a 'Vette. Ya never know when that high sewer cap will jump up and bite ya in the a$$.
At least you weren't at an airport during "rush hour" causing a traffic jam with lots of horns honking. Airport cops don't have a sense of humor. I say this because I was in Philly at the airport yesterday where they have about 6 speed bumps in front of the arrival terminals. I think those would accomodate a 'Vette's clearance (barely!)

You did an airport run in a Corvette?

Do they even have trunk space for luggage?

No No. I don't own a vette. But I think of 'Vettes every time I ride around high sewer caps on badly engineered roadbeds.
I did the run in the gf's car, a 2011 Accord. Nice car, but light. Hard to keep under the limit. No sense of speed. Annoying tranny. seems to shift up and down all the time. At 850 miles, maybe it'll settle down after a while.
Gimme the 124C anytime!

There you go

I originally looked at an 1997 E300 before settling on my W126. One of the things I noted about the W210 was how low it seemed to be to the ground.

I've always found the W126 height to be absolutely perfect. You don't have to climb into it like an SUV yet you don't fall into it like a low-riding Accord.

Stock W126 ride height is fail for looks.

Yeah, manhole covers are a bit scary.

Potholes are also unknown/scary territory. They like to jump up and nab the undercarriage.
