The older ones are junk, new body style might be decent.
Either way buy a real MB truck, get a G wagon.

They are basically just cheap minivans, and they are built in the US. Two pretty good reasons to avoid them.

The new bluetec version is pretty sweet. Wifey liked it a little more than the GLK, but it was more than we wanted to spend so we got the GLk and love it. It's a lease so if it's a piece of crap I can turn it back in. If it's great I can buy it for under market.
Now my old benzo is under a cover in the garage like it should be. And the new car is fantastic. Quiet and comfortable, performance is excellent.

Some people in Oklahoma have a lot of money. And then there are those with real money.
I knew one of these guys in 1998 who plopped down cash for one of the first ones off the truck. He had so much trouble with it that Mercedes made him some kind of a deal which involved him keeping a diary of all that went wrong in exchange for something he never revealed. After two years it was gone and he never said where. He did say it was, when it was not in the shop, the best four wheel drive he had ever used, and on his ranch he used a lot of them, mostly Ford trucks.
