If you can get a good one, done right, a CETME is a bargain for a 7.62 battle rifle. Takes careful selection, though. L1A1 is a favorite of mine also; had a couple of those along the way.

You won't save that much if you buy the Saiga 12 gauge

To expensive for what they are and the PTR's are POS. They are quite ammunition sensitive which for a battle rifle is crap, and PTR warns against shooting a lot of millsurp ammo, like the German DAG. I saw a brand new one at the range once, and it locked up solid on a round, couldn't get it out of the chamber.

HK91's are several thousand, not paying that for a stamped out rifle.

I'm really not an HK fan, since their general attitude to the general public is F you. I refuse to purchase any of their products, which is easy since other than some plastic handguns they offer no rifles in this country.
