This is not the case at all, the thread has digressed a little in that direction.
I just keep on asking ;
1/ What happened to the thread in feedback about moderation?
2/ Are we seeing members or mods trolling back through posts that are weeks old looking for something to infract over?

Thank you to all that have contacted me by PM or away from the forum thanking me for starting this thread. Judging by the response that I have received, it would appear that there are a number of members that are not prepared to post for fear of retribution and have made such comments to me.
The suggestion of starting a thread on another forum about the goings on in here is being suggested again to me. If those making the suggestion follow through, best as one suggested use a different name. I would suggest not the name of a mod in here, that would be a bit tacky !!

There is a ban button Tom, you can still do it the old fashion way. Go into the mod control panel and you can ban people.

Or...the Mods could simply delete that entire joke thread, thereby eliminateing a place for racists to get their rocks off. AND give this character something else to cry about.

I have not seen it mentioned, so here it is.

You cannot expect all members to read all the threads / posts all the time.

If someone does a search and reads an old thread with an offensive post they will flag it. You will get a message well after the time that you posted it. It all depends on who reads it.

The vast majority of members on this site do not log in everyday and they certainly do not read every new thread.

Most people who get any kind of PM, warning or infractions disagree with the decision. Its perfectly natural for people to be upset about it and demonize the person who is volunteering their time to keep a forum clean and running smoothly. I had the same feelings the 2 times I got warnings here.

Overall I'd take a few ruffled feathers and divisive decisions over a Benzworld style Open Discussion any day.

Also, I think if you read this thread again you'd see the questions asked here were addressed. Just to answer them again:

1: We don't know where the Mod feedback thread went. Moderators can see deleted threads and view them if they want, and I don't see one. In summary, that cannot be answered by any of us why it was deleted.

2: As far as I know, no forum member is digging through old posts and reporting them. There's also no statute of limitations on posts, and if there was it would certainly be much more than 10 days which the OP seems to have an issue with. Other jokes were posted in there at a later time and I simply chose the one with the more offensive material to send the (very friendly) warning. The joke thread was still on the first page of OD, since other jokes were posted. A moderator read it and thought it was offensive, we discussed and I sent the (very friendly) warning. Then this "crybaby" thread begins.

Oh, the tyranny.

& I guess some would delete the pretty girls thread as well. I was not aware that OD had taken on muslim style restrictions.

Sorry Tom...button/computer/add/subtract...I just said "Ban Button" 'cause it rolled off the fingertips...no actual knowledge as to what constitutes the actual funtionality of "mod wacking unruly poster" or such business...I just know I had the "tiff" w/XX, then I wasn't able to log-on...and read about my "demise" on the PP.com WS.

BTW: If anyone cares, I got "gigged" for a sick joke...and I believe it was XXXXXXX that called me out on it...humor is very subjective and in many cases, too close to reality. What one laughs at at the APOLLO doesn't quite work well at a dinner-time setting...regardless race/color/creed/nationality or sexual orientation. But...it is a guilty pleasure to watch that, along with COMEDY DEF JAM and the HBO "Celebrity Roasts" that usually come on after Midnight Central Time...
