Brain resuscitation needed - Stat!
Oh my gawd.
Just suffered through an hour long TL9000/Security "training" session. Audio bridge had to get re-set twice in the first 5 minutes. Video sharing never worked. Slide deck sent to participants "in case video sharing doesn't work" only sent to half the participants. Quick re-send to the rest of the participants. 9 slides in and the presenter realizes the wrong deck went out both times. Presenter has the vocal strength of a turtle with strep throat. Apparently, we're supposed to be swiping our ID badges every time we enter the building - even if the doors are unlocked. For "security" reasons, like knowing who's in the building in case of emergency. My question: "how will you know who's actually in the building since we can't swipe our way out - being that there are NO CARD READERS ON THE EXIT DOORS?!" The "answer": we haven't addressed that yet. Apparently, we have a policy that states no cameras. Somebody asked if that applied to employees as well as visitors. Answer: "Absolutely - no cameras." Follow up question: "I just left a meeting in which the Director of Security did the same thing lots of us do - he USED HIS COMPANY ISSUED CELL PHONE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE WHITE BOARD at the end of a meeting. How does this comply with the policy?" The "answer": we haven't addressed that yet. I just might have to go find an episode or three of Jerry Springer to bring my IQ back up to pre-training levels

Jim: You should fill out the "questionaire" I'm sure they'll have at the end of this thing and question the validity and expense of the whole thing and even suggest, as an additional security measure, to have the nimrod-in-charge investigated for possible company embezzlement issues.
Either that, or the comptroller is sleeping with the boss' daughter and the two of them are close relatives of the CFO and the late CEO nimrod from Enron-infamy.

WAG
TSA ?
Whole scenario sounds like SOP in 21st century America. Interesting note(?) Kimberly Clark had one of the most KISS and effective security regimen on their corporate campuses,30 years ago! ('What is/was so Secret about Kleenex and Tampons?)
