which winch is which?

None of the rental places here have trailers with winches to load a non-running car. How much of a winch should I get to load something like a W140?

Will a 4000 lb come-along do it or will it take thousands of strokes?

Will a hand crank winch with about a foot long crank handle have enough advantage for my skinny arm to pull a 2-ton car up a loading ramp?

Harbor Freight has a $30 winch with a "pull vehicles up to 3 tons" claim but I've seen stereo amplifiers that use bigger power wires. I guess you get what you pay for with a foot a minute loaded draw rate.

Thanks,
Sixto
