Colin has some work to finish her off, but you can't buy these things wrecked for what I gave it away for. I just didn't see myself finishing the project since getting the GTI, it was taking up space, and selling unfinished projects is a major PITA. I could put on on craigslist for free and someone would haggle with me that I should pay them to take it away since there's work to be done.
I think I'm the charter member for the Cheap Miata Club now.

I bought it knowing full well what needed to be done from Tyler. I haven't picked it up yet (in Sarasota, as my mothers wagon had to be delivered there which was also purchased from Tyler) but I've ordered a few things for it already.

The clutch apparently has a bit of play in it, so I ordered a new clutch disk. The master and slave have been redone already. Besides a few minimal bits it should be a cheap and reliable car for the next few years and I'm looking forward to having it.

I've always wanted to autocross anyway!

Your last autocross experience wasn't that successful.

Bit is not an apt description. 1/3 of the clutch does nothing. Still engages gears just fine; just an annoyance with me.

^My last autocross experience was my first autocross experience and was in a brand new Boxter. I was too afraid to even put it in to manual mode

I'm guessing the release bearing is going...

116 is a 1980 300SD with 121,000 miles (supposedly). Very clean car and completely original. Sold it for $3,000 last month.

The finny is well known on the board. 190Dc named Ben, formerly owned by daw_two.

The shady used car dealer that sold him that pile for an astronomical amount discovered the battery had taken a crap the day before it was supposed to be picked up. Battery is is in the trunk of the Miata. E320 has an excellent battery. Don't know why the truck hood is open.

Miata's are great sports cars. It's a Lotus that works.

Funny you say that, I had my mother start it for me today just to see if I needed to pick up a battery and it started!!! I think I'm going to swap the batteries from the 190E to the Miata just to be safe. The 190E is going to sit for a while.

Not sure about the hoods, especially on the truck. Not sure why at all.

In other new the valve cover gasket showed up today as well. I got me a big ol' box of parts already.

Will it fit in the corner without contacting the sheet metal?

From what I remember, the Miata battery is basically a glorified motorcycle battery, and is unusually expensive at that. I had a random battery for a while flying around in there, and when I sold it finally got the correct battery.
