Sadly, it was real, much as I wish it was not. There were multiple videos and enough witnesses to make it unlikely that it was a fabrication.

The still photo looked a little fake to me but the film clip was clearly not faked. It baffles me why they chose to pepper spray the protesters. They then looked to be unneccessarily rough in arresting them and dragging them away.

I don't understand why they had to be arrested anyway.

I love the coverage of this. It is straight out of 1984. You have two types of news: 1. Protesters = bad 2. Police = bad.

You have no in depth coverage of why the protesters are protesting. You have no in depth coverage about why the police are trying to remove them.

In both cases total fluff. Real information is a dangerous item that should be kept from general public. With real information, the citizens of the country might make demands of the government that would upset the lobbyists.

Nobody would say you don't have the right to protest. Just don't disrupt someone else. When I had to take a girl to the abortion clinic and someone decided to lay down in front of the door, I went back to the car, got her running shoes with spikes and played chicken. They blinked. If they had kept their protest to holding signs and not block me, I support their right to do it. Block me and I have a different issue. Wish I could have hosed these kids down with something nastier than pepper spray.
