If you are into nature hikes, Ocala National Forest is pretty cool, especially Juniper Springs.

I'll let you know. If I ride down I'll stop at the show at Amelia Isl first. I've got a friend that lives at Fernandina but I suspect he will at bike week

Don't forget the gooding and RM auctions that take place Friday and Saturday. They are as much fun as the Sunday show.

We hit the road Wednesday and get in Thursday night. Rented a 2 bedroom condo in Amelia for cheaper than 2 hotel rooms in Jacksonville.

Flagler College is the old Ponce de Leon Hotel- a 1890's Moorish Palace.

St. Augustine was the Winter Newport of the 1880's-1900's filled with seriously RICH folks.

Lightner Museum is also an old 1890's hotel, as was the old St Aug City Hall.

During WW2 St Aug was taken over by the military as Hospital space and to hold/keep Mental Cases and High Profile Axis prisoners.

It also was reputed to have one of the best Red Light Districts East of Nawlins!

there is a very cool gun museum in St. Augustine if you are into that stuff.

Then there's always that Fort that you can 'tour'...it takes about 15 minutes to see it all. Very touristy.

There an Alligator farm across the bridge.

All fun to do if the weather is nice.

If you see the "Chasing Classic Cars " guy in Amelia Island....tell him the guys at Peachparts all say hello.

about an hour north is Jekyll Island. It was the winter playland for the uber rich in the early 20th century. It is good for a day trip, You could also go the the Okeefanokee Swamp/ Straight up US 1 to Waycross Ga. Neat place.

Just saw Wayne moving around a red Daytona at the Gooding Auction preview.

Lorrain McKinry from "What's my Car Worth" was there doing a bit too. Way hotter in person.

Forgot my camera, will bring it tomorrow.

I could give you the address that very few now about where the Lynard Skynard band use to live and practice back in the 70's. But it will cost you a dollar.
