Perhaps he should look up the term "amendment".

Santo is actually leading in the most recent PPL poll...

Not that polls mean a damn thing, but it is fascinating to watch as the repubs flounder

I concluded he was an idiot about five minutes into the first presidential debate I watched. If it came down to him vs Barry, I think I'd go third party.

I concluded that about 5 years ago, while he was still a Senator, watching him being interviewed on C-SPAN.

Definitely agree with the 3rd party sentiment.

He's the current darling of the conservative right. I think most of America will see him as a nutjob though, especially once the dems put him through the media wringer.

And how does a President overturn a Supreme Court ruling? Ricky is letting us all know that if he wins he will turn America into Iran or Saudi Arabia. Enjoy living in a religious dictatorship? Vote Santorum.

Nah, Romney's got the line on that angle - with a title well above dictator:

Quote:
Romney avoids mentioning it, but Smith ran for president in 1844 as an independent commander in chief of an “army of God” advocating the overthrow of the U.S. government in favor of a Mormon-ruled theocracy. Challenging Democrat James Polk and Whig Henry Clay, Smith prophesied that if the U.S. Congress did not accede to his demands that “they shall be broken up as a government and God shall damn them.” Smith viewed capturing the presidency as part of the mission of the church. He had predicted the emergence of “the one Mighty and Strong” — a leader who would “set in order the house of God” — and became the first of many prominent Mormon men to claim the mantle.
Quote:
Out of Smith’s national political ambitions grew what would become known in Mormon circles as the “White Horse Prophecy” — a belief ingrained in Mormon culture and passed down through generations by church leaders that the day would come when the U.S. Constitution would “hang like a thread as fine as a silk fiber” and the Mormon priesthood would save it.
Mitt done been groomed for the position most all his life.

But no, really - it's just the dang aa-rabs what be scary.

The White Horse Prophecy

Be careful with defending " just do the right thing". The PROCESS is important. Even "doing the right thing" must be done in the right way, following all the right steps. Otherwise, when the President demands that he be empowered to "do the right thing" ( as he sees it) you have lost the argument to stop him.

Precisely. The process as outlined in COTUS does not empower the executive to overturn decisions rendered by judicial. Him stating that he would overturn the decision means he either does not know how our system of government works (hopefully this is the case) or he wants to change how it works (far more sinister)

Either way, he just continues to show how far out on the lunatic fringe he really is. and yet people keep voting for him in the caucuses.... inconceivable...

I just hope that he and Romney and The Newtster pound each other down and leave the door open for Paul.

Right wing nutjobs: "In your heart you know he's right."
