I have... now I have a terraced second level that I can't get the tractor to, so I will need to finish cutting the roadway through from the front, which involves making firewood out of a few trees (they are too close to the house anyway) and as the kids get bigger, the sled run needs to get longer, more dirt work up in the woods....

This made me spit out my beverage and choke with laughter while I gasped for air.

The Hand of God comment also had me rolling with laughter.

Yeah, although it can be too hot by itself. I mix my poultry manure in with the waste hay and straw which is naturally premixed with sheep, goat, steer and horse manure. I have so much of the stuff I run a pretty much full time ad on craigslist. I charge a double four pack of Guinness Foreign Export per pickup load. One local vineyard has started coming regularly twice a year and are picking up three or four loads each time.

That's excellent! I love bartering, and I bet you make some screaming good fertilizer. What do you feed your flock of birds?

I keep about 30 laying hens usually. Right now there are more. Also have turkeys, ducks, a few geese and some guineas which aren't really mine anymore having gone wild. The chickens are supplemented with scratch, lay crumble and I put out goat's milk as a calcium supplement. They drink it like crazy. They are let out each morning to forage in my pastures, returning to the coop to lay and roost at night. I figure they're getting at least half their nutrition from forage.
